Top Reasons to Visit Disney in the Fall

Fall is one of my very favorite times at Disney! If food, wine, festivals, Halloween, and parties are your thing, then it might be one of your favorite times, too!

1. International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot

I love food. Love it. I plan my day around eating. I also love wine. So naturally, the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is right up my alley! I enjoy eating and drinking my way around the world and visiting the countries of the World Pavillion, and listening to the featured artist at the Eat to the Beat concert series (but don't remind me how I didn't get to hear Starship sing "We Built This City" as I am still bitter about the whole situation). Don't miss the filet in Canada and the mimosas in Morocco. Trust me. You will thank me later.

2. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

This is the one and only time of the year that adults are allowed and encouraged to dress in costume at the Magic Kingdom, so this makes the party that much more fun for me! Kids and grown ups alike can trick or treat around the park, be treated to shorter ride lines, special character meet and greets, shows, parade, and the Hallowishes Fireworks Spectacular. Hands down the best fireworks display I have personally seen at Disney!

3. Weather

While Florida is still warm and sometimes humid in the fall, it means flip flops and shorts for this Midwestern girl! So I count the weather as a definite top reason to visit.

4. Non Peak Time

Disney is always less busy when kids are in school, so if you can schedule a trip avoiding typical school breaks, you can get lower crowds and shorter wait times.

 5. Free dining

Now, this isn't a guarantee each year, but free dining has traditionally been offered in the fall. When you stay on Disney property (at select resorts on select dates), you may get lucky enough to get in on this sweet deal. Like I said, I love food, so this seems like a no brainer over here.

So, who wants to meet me in (Epcot) Morocco for a mimosa this fall? We may as well eat the baklava while we are there, too. And then run over to Japan for sushi. What is your favorite cuisine? We can stop there, too :)
